Mondays Clay Hand Building Class Ages 4- 8

In this fun clay building class, children will receive unique clay lessons using Air Dry Clay. The lessons will include a variety of hand building techniques such as pinch pot, slab building, solid sculpting, and coiling.

Learning Goals

Student in this class will be introduced to:
-making pinch pots
-attaching parts using a score/slip method
-rolling slabs 
-creating surface texture
-rolling and attaching coils

4 Lessons over 4 Weeks Starts Monday September 9th Monday 4:00- 5:30pm.

Clay Long Neck Dinosaur

Learn how to turn a basic pinch pot into a dinosaur!

9/16/2024 Lesson 2:

Coil Pot

Learn how to use coils to build a clay pot by hand!

9/23/2024 Lesson 3:

Clay Robot

This lesson will guide in building a robot sculpture by attaching several parts!

9/30/2024 Lesson 4:

Tiny Houses

This lesson will teach you how to make tiny house parts and make textures on the clay surface!
